Getting a Shipment Fixed:
A. Go to the Distribution Center:
Being such an expensive product, FedEx is directed by Apple to leave a not at your door/mailbox. You should go to the distribution center to pick it up. Typically, you see these as large complexes at an airport.

Can you elaborate a little? Did they leave a note on your door? Did they try to deliver and you weren't home?

I left a complaint on the Fedex website.
I ordered an iPhone to Kazakhstan, indicated the address of the Schipper logistics company in America, which delivers to Kazakhstan, the address is:
Fedex didn't deliver phone to this address

If you ordered directly from Apple, they won't ship internationally and usually won't ship to a freight forwarder.
