iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 13 users face display freeze & green screen issues
The release of the much-anticipated Apple iOS 16 update brought excitement and anticipation among iPhone users. However, it appears that this major upgrade has come with its fair share of issues. Users of both the new iPhone 14 series and the older iPhone 13 models have been experiencing various bugs since updating to iOS 16.
One of the prominent issues reported by iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 13 users is a screen freezing bug. After installing the iOS 16.1 update, some users noticed animation glitches and, in extreme cases, complete unresponsiveness of their devices. Social media platforms have been flooded with posts from frustrated iPhone 14 Pro users showcasing this problem.
In particular, one video on YouTube demonstrated an iPhone 14 Pro stuck on the Spotlight Search menu, with no way to exit it and reach the home screen. While the app switcher continued to work, the overall functionality of the iPhone was severely compromised.
As if the screen freezing wasn't enough, iPhone 13 users are also facing an even stranger issue – a green screen problem. After updating to iOS 16, some iPhone 13 devices have had their entire display turn green, rendering the phone unusable. The green hue takes over the screen, making it impossible to view or interact with any content.
For affected users whose iPhones are still under warranty, Apple has offered a solution in the form of a free display replacement for iPhone 13 models experiencing the green screen problem.
While Apple is undoubtedly aware of these issues, users are eagerly awaiting a fix. Speculation suggests that the forthcoming iOS 16.2 update will likely address some, if not all, of these bugs. Until then, users may have to deal with these frustrating glitches and hope for a prompt resolution from Apple's development team.
