I got the 30 days free but I was not notified that I would be charged for the item the next month and it appeared on my Credit Card. This is so wrong for them to just charge me without asking for permission and then didn't even send me a receipt.

First confirm you have canceled any subscription automatic renewal (if you simply delete an app this does not cancel subscriptions):

The people responding here are Apple products users like you, not Apple. You will have to request the refund using the information I provided.
I was ok with trying it but I didn’t want to pay for a whole year. I am a senior on a fixed income and can’t afford it.
I am 75 years old. I don’t understand a lot of these automated renewals.

I had the same problem- Plant Identifier took money from my credit card I was not notified, I am not trying to get a refund. This is so wrong, companies should notify you and give you a choice to accept or decline. I spoke to Apple and they said it could take 30 days to get a refund. This is a scam, they are earning interest off my money and I don’t know if I will ever get the money back.
The plant app charged me too for a whole year it was like $79 and my son got it refunded but I don't know how he did it. He at least canceled it.
I didn't ask for Plant Identifier and I want a refund.
