My iMessage isn’t working

i can receive text on my imessage but I can’t send or receive images. They all show up an image_####.jpeg. I also can’t send audio messages or iMessage games

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 16

Seems you need a strong wi-fi signal, and or cellular data enabled, to use the messages app:

and If your iPhone or iPad won't connect to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support


You can use Wi-Fi Assist to automatically switch to cellular when you have a poor Wi-Fi connection.

Wondering if you have the latest iOS 16 update : About iOS 16 Updates - Apple Support says 16.6 is the latest.
