Alter the task bar in my folders. I want to add a trash icon.

I'm using Ventura. Actually, I'm new to this OS and all prior ones had trash icons so I could highlight something in a folder and click on the trash icon and poof.

Try this, With a folder selected in the Finder, select "Customize Toolbar…" from the "View" menu, then drag the "Delete" icon into the Toolbar. The Trash icon will then be in all folder windows.

Not sure what it is that you do not understand. This has nothing to do with pc.

Right-click or Control-click is the standard way to get a contextual menu in macOS, since the dawn of time...

Nothing has changed in this regard.


All you have to do is what Old Toad very clearly showed you, in pictures. Pay attention to the gif (moving image) that he posted. It as simple as he shows.


To reiterate: Control-click (that means hold down the Control key while you click), or Right-click (ie, click the right button if you have a two button mouse) on the toolbar and do as he shows. You can thus reinstate the Delete button:
