iPhone constantly asking to trust my own computer despite Apple saying it should remember

My iPhone 14 Pro asks me every time to trust every single time it plugs into a device - this is the most frustrating when it's my own computer - For 14 years the iphone ecosystem understood what my stuff was and only asked to trust devices that I'm not signed into. It is very frustrating especially if you think something is backing up/syncing when you look a while later and find it's hung at the permission password screen instead.

in the article "About the 'Trust This Computer' alert message on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch" it says "Your device remembers the computers you've chosen to trust." this is 100% false, at least for me.

Is there a fix? Thank you

PS - On some threads people have mentioned this is "a feature" to thwart some recent vulnerability? If so it's a lazy and frustrating workaround, where possibly the cure is worse than the disease. And it doesn't say anywhere that it's intentional. Let's hope it's a quirk that is correctible!

Thank you I read that as well.

If there's no solution, at least I can add my voice the crowd saying this is a bad design choice. I stand by my statement that this is a lazy and frustrating workaround, where possibly the cure is worse than the disease... in so far as these things matter...

Thanks again
