I reset home screen layout but do not like. How can I get old layout back

How do I lock a Home Screen layout on my iPad Air? How to I lock the app Home Screen layout, so that the layout remains the same, unless I unlock it. recently I repeatedly have widgets randomly open up on my home page, which I didn’t request. e.g calendar, clock and task widgets. This causes the whole layout to shift to other pages. and I have to manually delete the widgets,then manually move the apps back to the layout I want. everywhere I look says I just go to Home Screen in settings… and lock layout. Safari layout on iPad difficult to use after iOS 26 update My iPad updated to IOS26 and I hate the layout in Safari. It is hard to read and hard to operate now. How can I change it back to normal usable layout

No, you can't get that back.

If you have a backup then you can restore from it. Hope you are aware of the restoring process which will wipe out everything on your device with that of the backup.

If you are 100% sure that the backup that you are restoring has the Home Screen Layout that you are looking for and are ready to wipe out your current data.
