Disable intrusive dictionary in Ventura

Hello

Running Ventura on a MacBook Pro. How can I stop the dictionary popping up when I try to highlight? Thanks

Try not to press down so hard on the Trackpad or disable Force Touch, Haptic Feedback in System Settings > Trackpad.

How to stop Dictionary.app from interfering with my work (& my life)? I use a 15" MacBook Air, 32GB memory, OS Sequoia 15.6.1. Every time I select text in order to copy it, Dictionary.app (version 2.3.0 (294)) opens. When I close the app, often it re-opens when I select text again (and sometimes it won't stop doing this). This is deeply frustrating. I haven't been able to find a way to make this stop. I have even tried to delete it, but I have not succeeded.| I'd love any suggestions you may have! Thanks in advance!

Turn off spell check, auto-correct, and Grammar and you’re on your own.

Check spelling and grammar on Mac - Apple Support

If you are using Safari they’re all under the Edit->Spelling and Grammar menu
