iOS 16 music shows my old name

iPhone XR with iOS 16.5, I’ve changed my name on my Apple account and my phone shows my new legal name. But Apple Music playlists still show my old name. Is it possible to change that?

Hi there bhcsga,

To edit your name in Apple Music, follow these steps from See what friends are listening to in Apple Music on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device:

View your profile
1. Open the Apple Music app.
2. Tap Listen Now.
3. In the upper-right corner of Listen Now, tap the photo icon my account button or your photo.
4. At the top of your screen, tap [your name] View Profile.

If you have not set up a profile in the Music app, then there should still be an 'Edit' option next to your name after you tap the photo icon.

We hope that helps!
