Where is the trash icon?

If you're not seeing it, then someone chose to hide the dock. By default, the dock is on the bottom of the screen. Move the mouse to the bottom and wait for about a half second. The dock should pop up, and you'll see the trash on the far right end.

If it doesn't pop up. Then not only did someone choose to hide it, but also moved it the left or right hand side of the screen. Try each side.

Move the cursor to the very bottom of the computer's screen. The Trash is the item furthest to the right.
