I have not had any need to use Java on the Mac with Ventura, but you may have had it in a previous version of your OS looking for an update that has been deprecated. There have been many versions that are no longer available due to security issues. While I cannot recommend the use of Java, there may be some users here that can assist in removing the version that is looking for an update. A user may have a different opinion than mine and suggest downloading the latest version of Java, but I would not do that by the provided link and only go to java.com manually from your browser.
