app store error
I am trying to get catalina os on the appstore and after i typed my apple id and password it said
(cannot complete request) what can i do

We do not know which Mac model (year) or which Mac OS version you want to upgrade from.
Wondering if you have checked whether your computer is compatible with Catalina.

To download macOS from the App Store, use a Mac that is compatible with that macOS.

If you have an older MacOS currently installed:
“Starting with macOS Catalina, 32-bit apps are no longer compatible with macOS”.
32-bit app compatibility with macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 and later - Apple Support
Upgrading from a 32 bit Mac OS to a 64 bit Mac OS may need to be done more carefully.
If there are Mac OS versions in between what you have installed, and Catalina, you could upgrade in steps.
