I’ve connected my iPhone to my MacBook Air and trusted it. But it doesn’t show up on the Mac

iPhone does not appear in locations. No error message

Open Finder, go to Settings/Sidebar and make sure all boxes are checked. Then connect the phone and wait; it should appear within 30 seconds or so.

I know it should. It doesn’t. Very annoying.
