Forgot iPhone passcode = phone disabled = SWIPE UP TO RECOVER

Put iPhone into recovery mode (to erase and set it up again)

Use a computer to put your iPhone in recovery mode.

  • Recovery mode allows you to erase the iPhone, giving you access to set it up again.
  • After you erase your iPhone, you can restore your data and settings from a backup. If you didn't back up your iPhone, you can set it up as a new device and then download any data that you have in iCloud.
  • If you're using a PC, make sure that it has Windows 10 or later, and that iTunes is installed. You also need the cable that came with your iPhone, or another compatible cable, to connect your iPhone to the computer.
  • Turn off your iPhone
  • While holding the side button Don't let go of the button - while immediately connecting your iPhone to the computer. Keep holding the button until you see the recovery mode screen on your iPhone, then let go.

This where you find your iPhone on PC or in iTunes.

  • If you can't find it, you need to, turn on your device and connect to your computer, it should appear in the Finder or iTunes.
  • If you don't see it, or you get an unknown error or 0xE error, follow these steps.
  • It should appear in the Finder or iTunes. If you don't see your iPhone -

REPEAT

  1. Look in the Finder or iTunes
  2. Update the software on all devices
  3. Connect your device directly to your computer (Make sure that your device is unlocked and showing its Home Screen) LOL forgot passcode so your phone is locked!!! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE???

SWIPE UP TO RECOVER

Enter passcode - Where is this passcode? I entered a 6-digit code

Verify passcode - I entered the same 6-digit code

Attempting data recovery (takes about 8-15 minutes)

FAILED TO UPDATE - your iPhone has been disabled try again in 1 minute - Doesn't matter how many time I try - it stays disabled and you can't even turn it off and start all over again at this point...... ugh!!

I NEED HELP!

You don't update your phone, you restore it to factory setting using recovery mode and not from backup either.
