Shared notes don’t appear

My bf and I have shared notes and when i update mine he gets to see what’s been updated but when he updates his i can’t see what’s been updated until days and even weeks later. i’ve done everything from getting more icloud space to signing out of my icloud and it still doesn’t work.

Shared notes not synching I’m not sure when exactly it started, but at least two updates ago. Currently running iOS 16.4 on all our devices (entire family). We use shared notes between family members for ongoing lists and they do not stay up to date. The notes show that they are shared with the image of shared individuals on the top of the note. They share once then don’t update when changes are made. We’ve deleted notes and started new ones to replace…still same issue. We’ve force quit, rebooted, checked sync status toggle in iCloud settings…nothing helps

Upgrade your Notes? iCloud upgrade? For the first time I am trying to share (receive) a Note from another person. (FWIW, I'm using an iPhone SE 2nd Gen, iOS 16.1.1) Up to this time I have used Notes on my iPhone (just on my iPhone) without any problems. Now, for sharing, I enabled Notes in Settings > iCloud > Show All > Notes. All seemed fine. But when I try to open the Note that my trainer texted to me I get the following message: Upgrade Your Notes To open shared notes, you'll need to upgrade your iCloud account. Does this mean I have to upgrade to a PAID iCloud plan (iCloud+) just to share Notes?

Can’t see the updates on shared notes I have a shared notes with my friend who had an Iphone Xr. it took so long for the shared notes to update on my device while on her it just took a couple of days. How can i fix this problem? i tried to on and off the notes from iCloud and it still don’t update fast, usually it will took weeks before i see the update. Our ios version is the same. How can we fix this problem? can you please help.

Hi illuvren,

As you indicate that changes you make are reflected immediately for both parties, it may be worth having the other user check their settings and software version so that the changes they make are updated in a timely fashion. If you can't share or collaborate in the Notes app on your iPhone or iPad outlines details such as iOS version, iCloud storage amount and Apple ID settings as factors in collaborating on shared notes.
