Disconnect CarPlay

Isn’t there a (simple!) way to disconnect wireless CarPlay when you don’t want to use it?

For instance if I’m not driving, and don’t want all sounds from my phone to be broadcasted to the whole car.

Or if I just don’t need to use it for a trip, it would be great to just ”flip a switch” to turn it off (just like Wifi or Bluetooth) since it absolutely drains the battery when connected (iPhone 12 pro).
