Hello there!

I found this article online, this article contains a few solutions.

https://speedify.com/blog/fix-internet-disconnecting/ipad-keeps-disconnecting-from-wifi-fix/#:~:text=Turn%20Wi%2DFi%20off%20and,as%20iPad%20disconnecting%20may%20appear.

If this didn't work, did you try to enter the recovery mode on your iPad?

To enter recovery mode:

    • Tap an hold the power button
    • Tap an hold the homebutton
    • Wait until you see the recovery mode screen appear
    • Connect your iPad with a laptop and open the latest version of iTunes
    • Locate your iPad in the iTunes app, and when te menu 'Restore or Update', select update.
    • Now wait for your iPad to (re)install the latest software version.

If this didn't work, please contact apple support, because then its probably a hardware issue due to the iPad mini being the first generation and it's only running iOS 9.

Hope it helps!

I would NOT recommend recovery mode for an old, no longer supported iPad which is having Wifi connection issues. The iPad this person owns is now considered Obsolete, which is no longer supported worldwide. The original iPad Mini was released in 2012. So this device is now 11 years old. It can't run current, or even close to current iPadOS versions and most apps by now would no longer be supported.
