macOS bluetooth devices are shared between users

I have a MacBook with two users set up for my wife and me. The users are connected to different Apple IDs. We both have a pair of AirPods, which because of device sync logic appear for both users on the Mac. This leads to an annoying behaviour that my AirPods sometimes connect to the Mac, when she is using it and in the opposite direction.

Same story is for other bluetooth devices like keyboard or a mouse. I have paired the mouse and the keyboard, but they are visible to the other user as well.

Is there a way to separate bluetooth devices between two users, so my wife's devices are not visible for my user account?
