Only someone you allowed or someone sharing your Apple ID can find you. What was the specific alert? A sound, or a message? If it was a sound, how do you know it was from Find Me? And Find Me does NOT alert you when someone uses it to locate you. The only alert that Find My generates is if someone authorized to track you has set a geofence to detect when you leave your current location.
No one got on your system. Some app that you already have on your system generated an alert. I get dozens of alerts a day from many of my 290 apps from the app store.
What has the nature of the alert? A message that said something? A sound with no context? What kind of sound? A spoken alert?
But what you DON’T understand is that you will NEVER get a message or an alert when anyone tries to find you, so any such message is a scam, and any alert means something else.
If you choose to share your location with your family members or friends, it's essential to be aware of the implications that come with this decision. While location sharing can have its benefits, such as making it easier to meet up with loved ones or ensuring their safety, it also carries potential risks.
When you share your location with family members or friends, it's important to understand that most location-sharing services or apps do not provide any alert or notification to let you know when someone starts tracking you.
First and foremost, once you grant someone access to track your location, they can monitor your movements at any time without your knowledge or consent. This lack of awareness may lead to a loss of privacy and the feeling of being constantly watched, which can be uncomfortable and intrusive.
Additionally, sharing your location indiscriminately or with acquaintances you don't fully trust could expose you to potential dangers. Unintended recipients, such as hackers or malicious individuals, could exploit this information to track and target you, jeopardizing your personal safety and security.
Therefore, it's crucial to exercise discretion and thoughtfulness when choosing whom to share your location with. Prioritize sharing your location only with people you trust completely and who genuinely need to know your whereabouts for legitimate reasons.
Here are some tips to stay safe while using location sharing:
Remember, while location sharing can be beneficial in certain situations, it's essential to strike a balance between convenience and safeguarding your privacy and personal security. By being judicious and cautious with location sharing, you can enjoy the benefits while minimizing potential risks.
Yes! I understand that as the intent!!! But I did not know that 'anyone' besides the 2 people on list could alert me. And since there was no message I must assume the reasons you give are correct. But I assumed that no one other than my list could get on my system!! Enough said.
I understand the intent. But the is that no one of the two other people named in fact tried to Find Me.
