Received an unsolicited refurbished XR.

Received an unsolicited XR via FedEx. It was delivered in a flat envelope and completely wrapped in bubble wrap with a charger. Absolutely no paperwork in the package. Package was shipped from eCommerce Dept on Wilshire Blvd in Oklahoma City. Am concerned about setting it up without knowing if this is legitimate. Checked with my carrier and they couldn’t provide any answers. My SE continues to work without any issues.

Any thoughts?

Using the IMEI, you should be able to tell if the device is Apple genuine. Your carrier can tell you if it is a locked or unlocked device. Heck, just go to Mint Mobile web site and enter the IMEI and they will tell you without having to even contact your own carrier. If it is genuine Apple phone and is unlocked, I'd hold onto it for a few weeks waiting to see if anyone reached out about a possible error in the delivery process (sometimes UPS/FedEX will contact you if they misdeliver) but after that, I'd use it if I had use of it.
