backlight and camera issue

Before I did a factory rest my camera and backlight on the computer was working but I had a weird factory reset experience where I got sent all the way back to Mountain Lion and I had to update all the way up to Catalina. I have a mid 2012 macbook pro retina. After this update neither my camera nor the backlight works on my computer now what should I do i tried running the sudo camera assistant kill and the other vdc command but neither worked.
