I can't open iMessage on my Mac all of a sudden, so I can't do any of the things in the support info. It worked just fine for years, until I cleared cookies and history last week to try and fix another problem I was having. When I click on my iMessage icon in my nav, nothing happens. Nothing opens. Anyone have advice for getting this to work again? The instructions in help don't address this specific issue.

Clearing Safari cookies and history should not have any affect on being able to open the Messages app. However, we do have some steps to see if we can rectify this issue.
What we want to do is try starting up in safe mode, as safe mode does some system checks, and can sometimes resolve issues. Use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support
It may take longer to finish the start up, and you'll also see some differences in the display. This is expected with safe mode, and when you restart normally, they'll be gone.
Test opening the Apple Messages app. Then restart normally, and try again.
Let us know if this resolves the issue.

Thank you! I appreciate the reply! I’ll save your instructions for next time, should this happen again. I managed to get it back up and running after a restart and a few other actions…I’m not even quite sure what I did to get it working again, or I’d share that info.
