Can I use an iPad with a lightning port to record with a usb mic?

Can anyone shed light on if the lightning to usb-a solutions work for this? Anyone who’s tried it? Thank you so much in advance!

Any USB device that requires a device driver will require a manufacturer-provided App - as device drivers cannot be independently installed on any iOS/iPadOS devices.

As such, if tour USB microphone is certified as Made for iPad/iPhone (i.e., MFI) - and has an appropriate companion App - should be useable. Without a matching App, then your microphone is unlikely to be compatible with your iPad.
