Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Sounds like you're trying to change and update your Apple ID photo. When you try to do so, it keeps changing on you. If so, we'd like to help by recommending some troubleshooting steps you can try. Let's follow the steps below:

1.) Close the Settings app on your iPad: Close an app on your iPad - Apple Support

2.) Refresh things and restart your iPad: Restart your iPad - Apple Support

3.) If the issue continues, you can also try to update your photo by visiting the iCloud website. This resource can show you how: Change your Apple ID photo on iCloud.com - Apple Support

Also, it would be a good idea to install any pending updates that might be available for your iPad. This can usually help with unique issues, since updates include fixes. Just in case, this link can guide you through the update process: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

1.)Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2.)Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3.)Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4.) If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5.) Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now.

We hope these steps help you. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
