Hi, I am running an older version of Final Cut Pro (10.5.2) and want to update it to the latest version. However, when I go into the App Store, there are no updates showing for Final Cut. I know there are newer versions, so why am I not seeing them?

It sounds about right that your version of FCP may be the latest for Catalina.
Your2017 iMac can be upgraded up to and including the current OS, Ventura, and then run the current version of FCP, 10.6.8.
CAUTION: do not do such a big OS upgrade without having a backup in place. If you don’t have one, get a cheap USB hard drive and start using Time Machine. If you already use Time Machine (which every mac user should), make sure that your backup is up to date.
