why can't we have select all button to select all photos at once ?

Select All Photos. Just came across this, I’m looking to do the same thing.

Has it been fixed? Seems to be a problem for lots of people.

It might not be possible for an iPhone to handle it, if we could "Select All" in a very large library with a million photos or so. apple seems to be preventing us intentionally from selecting large batches of photos at once. For example, we can easily select all photos in a "Month" or "Day" to share them at once, but not all photos in a "Year".
