Sure, Maison1111, Yes, the Genius Bar nearest to you could do it, and you'd have to give 'em a call. For that matter, an AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider could do it, too) . Heck, I think you could do it....Connect the two Macs together while they are turned off via Ethernet or USB of some kind (the macbook air has USB-C/Thunderbolt 3/Thunderbolt 4, and your Mac Book Pro 2018 has USB-C with Thunderbolt 1 support, but Thunderbolt is backwards compatible, I believe, so that should make it kinda easy. Then turn both Macs on, and they're still connected to each other.... Then run Migration Assistant on the new Mac Air 2023 and point it to the Mac Book Pro 2018 (as a source, or where from you want to migrate stuff) and let it do its thing... and it'll transfer/copy contents of your Mac Book Pro computer to your new Mac air M2 2023.... Now, I don't know exactly what storage capacity your new Mac Air has, all I know is that you have one, and a MacBook Pro 2018... While you have both macs handy, make sure you go out and get an external hard drive of some kind, set up and use Time Machine, which is built into the MacOS, for backing up your Mac's stuff regularly and reliably, heck you can even schedule when you want to do a backup, and it'll do it automatically, surely, reliably and without too much fuss. a smart move and good insurance for the future.... I hope you also bought AppleCare + for your new Mac Air 2023, which will extend the warranty to 3 years and cover a few extra things, eg the occasional accident, also good insurance and another smart move ....
IF you already had a Time Machine backup, you could have used that with Migration Assistant, but I don't know if you do have one, or if you don't.... anyways, it's a darn good and smart idea to set up and use Time machine regularly, and to always have a Time Machine backup...
Hope this helps you
