How to transfer files from a Mac with a broken screen to a new Mac?

I have a Mac book which I broke the screen on it is completely not visible. I went and purchased a new Mac book and need to tranfer some files from the old Mac book. Could I take them to you all and can you guys do it?

  1. This is a user to user forum. You are not addressing Apple Support here. I doubt any user here his going to give you their address to have you bring them your Macs.
  2. You can setup the broken Mac in disk mode and connect it to the new Mac via a USB per Thunderbolt cable. You just need to press a couple of keys on the keyboard when its starts up.

The old Mac will appear as a usb drive or external drive in Finder and you can drag and drop files from it to the new Mac.

Mirror the Screen:

What you can do is mirror this Mac's screen to a monitor or projector or TV. You would perform the following on your keyboard to mirror your screen:

  1. Without Touch Bar: [Hold Down: Command + Press: F1]
  2. With Touch Bar: [Hold Down: Command + Press: Dim Display]
