My surround receiver works with my Smarttv delivering Dolby atmos. Using my Apple TV , receiver cannot get the atmos signal

Apple TV HD (4th generation) does not support Dolby Atmos. You will need a newer (4K) model for that.

Do you get Dolby Atmos on any other app on Apple TV? Then your Apple TV is functioning well with correctly working settings.

Note that there have been complaints about the Netflix app on Apple TV not accurately displaying the badges about the audio quality of various shows. That is a UI issue, not a stream issue.

My Apple TV 4K doesn’t work with Netflix in Dolby Atmos with (Stranger Things) but it’s working with my Amazon Stick in Atmos ???
