Issues with Yahoo mail not working on Mac but works on iPhone

I noticed this question was asked already but the answer did not resolve my issue. I spent 2 hours on the phone with Apple tech support and Apple tier 2 tech support. Previously when I opened my Yahoo email from the mail app on my desktop everything worked. Then, for no reason my mail was there but when I opened the individual messages only a few of the emails loaded on screen, the rest were blank messages. Email worked as normal on my iPhone. Apple tech support suggested I remove the email from my desktop Mail and then add it back on. I removed it, can't add it back ... says "Authentication Failed" "Failed to authenticate with Yahoo!, please try again later" Tier 2 said I have to speak to my email provider which is Rogers. This morning I spent 45 minutes on the phone with Rogers tech support. He said Yahoo is looking for a password and it is not allowing me to access it. He said he would open a ticket but they have opened many, many tickets and Yahoo! has never done anything about it. My options are, create a new email (I've had my current one for over 10 years) or access my email via webmail .... but I will no longer be able to use the Mail app on my desktop. I did a search for Yahoo! tech support and there is no option to talk to a live person, just useless troubleshooting tips online. Has anyone else come across this issue and had it fixed?
