Hi marcainy,
Thank you for reaching out and posting in Apple Support Communities. We'll be happy to help all we can today at securing your account and looking to see if the data that was deleted can be restored.
The first thing you want to do is reset your Apple ID email password, and do not share the new password with anyone. If you write it down, store it in a place that will be only accessible to yourself. To reset your Apple ID password, go to Change your Apple ID password - Apple Support and follow the steps found in the article.
Since it's not possible to hack into an iPhone, it could be the person has your Apple ID email and password and using it on a third-party app to access your data. This is why changing your password is the first step to regaining control of your account. To learn more, see If you think your Apple ID has been compromised - Apple Support.
Once you have reset your password, you can restore your data if you have backed up your iPhone to either iCloud or a computer. Without a backup, restoring the data will not be possible. To restore your iPhone to a previous backup, you can follow the steps found in Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support.
Reach back out to us if you have any questions.
Take care!
