Hi, I am about to start college and I want to purchase an Ipad but wish to pay monthly with an apple card. However, I am 17 years old and don’t qualify for the apple card because I am under 18.. I do turn 18 in a few months but I really do need the ipad since I start college next week.. I was wondering if there was at least another way I can purchase instead of just paying in full?
Apple only offers monthly installment via the Apple Card, and you need to be 18 to apply.
You can contact other card issuers, and see if they offer cards for under 18 year olds and if they also offer installments on purchases.
Alternatively, if your parents or legal guardians have an Apple Card, they can add you as a participant and you can then use their card for the monthly installments. You would then need to pay them the monthly fee, and they then make payments on the card.
