How to hide names on incoming text messages, iOS 16.6.

As razmee209 has tried to explain, there is nothing to change. When you have the preview turned off, that means that you won't see any of the body of the message. It does not turn off the person's name.

You can un-tick "Lock Screen". That way, you won't see the notifications on the lock screen.

You're turning off preview of the text message not who's sending it. Doesn't matter if it works for snapchat.

you need to get on your friend's phone and hit don't preview.
