lg smart 4K monitor 32" locked at 30hz

I have a new LG 32” 4k monitor. Model : LG 32SQ780S-W

when connecting to my MacBook Air m1 it is locked at 30hz.

I have tried usb c and hdmi. The cable is apples own thunderbolt 4.

When I try my dell pc it is not a problem so I guess it’s a software problem.

apple support was unable to solve it. And so was LG.

does anyone have a fix?

External monitor is stuck at 30hz I have a 4k monitor that seems to be locked at 30hz on my 2020, 13inch MBP. It's currently on Monterey, 12.3.1. It's connected directly via USB-C, and using other laptops it supports 4k with 60hz so it doesn't appear to be the hardware. I looked into using EasyRes but I'm only able to see 30hz on the 4k display. At 1440p I can get 144hz. Is someone able to suggest a resolution for my resolution? All documentation indicates that it should be supported with this combination, and I've used different 4k monitors with success. Monitor is Gigabyte M32UC.

MacBook Pro M4 ultrawide monitor compatibility issue with Samsung Odyssey G9 I cannot connect my Samsung Odyssey G9 ultra wide monitor with my MacBook Pro M4.
