My iphone is new 14 pro max
my ios is uptodate
I had added this card previously and I know my bank supports it (there’s the option to “add to wallet” in my bank’s app)
but I get the region error saying it’s not accepted when I continue with apple terms
I tried restarting and did not work

What country or region are you in? Is your Apple ID region and iPhone region set correctly?
What country or region is your credit or debit card from? Does that differ from where you are now?
Change your Apple ID country or region - Apple Support

Thanks Jeff. I changed my Apple ID but not the language and region. That's why I'm getting this error. After changing the region (in language and region), the issue is resolved.

I’m in Spain with a spanish bank card that accepts apple pay. I suspect it was a momentary glitch a day before and today I was able to add it following the same steps.
