Exact purchase date not showing

I have purchased a new iPhone few days ago ,but when i check phone coverage on Apple website ,it’s showing that the phone was purchased on April 1978,can anyone tell me what’s the problem ?

Your sales receipt is needed for Apple’s Limited Warranty, AppleCare Protection Plan, and AppleCare+ validation, so be sure to keep it in a safe place. Apple’s Limited Warranty is the same whether or not you register.
