(FIX) Apple Maps Home/Work pin deleted in Favourites.

Hi,

I recently deleted the Work Icon in favourites (the briefcase looking one) and I was stuck for a while, as there’s virtually no solution anywhere; many people were having problems as me with this, dating back years.

However, I think I just magically found the solution!

I will narrate this using the ‘Work’ option:

1) Delete the address that you have for ‘Work’ in your Contacts card and remove any pins you have for work in favourites.

2) search your workplace in the Maps search bar. When I did it, I created a pin beside the workplace and then just moved it into position.

3) Add the Pin or Address to Favourites.

4) Go to the general menu of the Maps. In the ‘Favourites’ section, select ‘More’ or the right side.

5) scroll down to your newly-favourited pin and click the ‘i’ icon on the right side.

6) Look for ‘Type’ and select the option ‘My work’.

This should automatically take you to your contacts card and it should’ve updated the work section with the address of your pin.

If not, then something has gone wrong, most likely start over.

7) Must sure to check ‘done’ on the Contact card.

8) Next, go back to Maps and deselect everything. What should happen is the pin you created should disappear from the bottom of the favourites and reappear labelled as ‘Work’. Check to see if this has happened.

9) Search for the workplace again and zoom in on the location to see if the Work location (briefcase icon) has been created.
