Compatibility between Dell WD19 and MacbookPro 2023 M2 Pro

Hi,

Is the docking station Dell WD19 K20A compatible with the MacbookPro 14-inch 2023 M2 Pro? I just get the Macbook and want to use it with the docking station I already have for daily work. I mean if there will be any negative effects or combination of those two devices is safe to use?

For a Mac to support up to TWO displays on ONE port out of the Mac, the port, the cable, and the first device you connect (Dock or Display) MUST be genuine Thunderbolt devices. USB-C has only half the data pathways of Thunderbolt, so it is not supported on a Mac for multiple DISPLAYS.

So if you though you could connect TWO displays using this USB-C Dock, forgetaboutit.

Otherwise, is is a perfectly ordinary Dock.
