Ordered a device with Apple online but order shows on hold

Ordered MBA today and reflected that it that the shipment is on hold


Why was it ON HOLD? is it something that will delay the process?

Estimated delivery on 8/23 but im dying to get it since my current MBA is acting up already.


Is there a way to expedite? When should I expect it?


Called DHL and Apple and they said they cannot determine delivery date except for the estimates.

It is difficult to say for sure why your shipment is on hold without more information. However, I would recommend contacting DHL customer service for more information. They may be able to tell you the specific reason for the delay and provide an estimate for when your shipment will be delivered.

First, you are asking other end users here; this is not Apple support so we cannot give you an official answer. Second Apple is pretty good at estimating delivery dates, so if they told you that it would be on 8/23, that is almost 2 weeks away - that means it is too early to start worrying. And, as mentioned, there are lots of reasons why shipments that have to pass through customs may be delayed.


And no, you cannot expedite it. It is a matter for Apple and DHL.
