I see. Here are a few things you can try if you're still getting the "not enough space to back up" error after buying an iCloud subscription:

  1. Make sure you're connected to a Wi-Fi network. iCloud backups can only be performed over Wi-Fi.
  2. Check your iCloud storage usage. Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage. This will show you how much iCloud storage you're using and how much is available. If your backup is larger than the amount of available storage, you'll need to upgrade your iCloud plan.
  3. Delete unnecessary data from your device. This will free up space and allow your backup to complete. You can delete photos, videos, apps, and other files that you don't need.
  4. Restart your device. Sometimes a simple restart can fix software issues that are preventing your backup from completing.
  5. Contact Apple Support. If you've tried all of the above and you're still getting the error, contact Apple Support for help.

Here are some additional tips for reducing the size of your iCloud backup:

  • Disable iCloud backup for apps that you don't use often.
  • Reduce the quality of your photos and videos before backing them up to iCloud.
  • Enable iCloud Drive and store your files in iCloud instead of on your device.
  • Back up your device to a computer regularly. This will create a local backup that you can restore if you ever have problems with your iCloud backup.

I hope this helps!
