The suggestions are to go into Safari settings. Where can I get at Safari settings on my MacBook Pro?

get rid of safari virus: "Please install Media Player to Continue" pop up I got some kind of Safari virus with crazy pop ups every time you go to any link. Tried clearing history and restarting after a force quit, but still have the problem. Help please?
