How to manually change order in Stacks

I like the how 'Stacks' organizes desktop clutter

I however would like to manually re-arrange the stacks order.

Id like to name my MacintoshHD 1 Boot.

For example

1 Boot Drive

2 TimeMachine Drive

3 Storage Drive

These drives and files were all put in order before Stacks was selected and enabled.

Same with manually arranging the order of images as well as documents in their corisponding 'Stack'

Is there anyway to manually change order in Stacks?

Thank you

Yes, there is good info in that link but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any way to custom arrange the order of any of the stacks or drives once 'Stacks' is enabled. In other words, 'Stacks' just put drives and groups in any order it wants on your Desktop. I had hoped there was a button combo I could hold down and custom drag drives and groups to an order that makes more sense.

Anybody know if there is a way to custom order drives and groups in 'Stacks'?

Put whatever you want to reorder into a temporary folder on your desktop. Then drag and drop each item back onto the desktop one at a time in REVERSE order of the order in which you want them listed. (I.e., if you have items A, B, & C, and you want A on top and C on bottom, then drag C back onto the desktop first, B second, and A last.) Then right click anywhere on the desktop and select "Show View Options". Under "Sort By", select "Date Added".
