Child apple id mixed up with parent

I have two children on my family share, and one is set up perfectly. The other child is somehow mixed up with my apple ID, and his ID password is working for my apple ID and his apple ID is being treated as both a child under 13 and the parent in charge of the account. My phone keeps switching to his contact information, and he keeps getting my text stream and his own at the same time. Help!

Hi there bracha21,

Thank you for posting to Apple Support Communities.

We understand you have a Family Sharing group where two of the members are mixed up. We can help.

Go to the the child's device and check their contact card. On iPhone and iPad, this would be at Settings > Contacts > My Card. Edit this to match the child.

Then, take a look at Settings > Family on your device to make sure it is set correctly.

If you're not able to edit, you may need to turn off Screen Time settings on the child's device. This is at Settings > Screen Time.

Here is an article for reference: Manage Family Sharing settings - Apple Support

This should help. Let us know if you have any questions.

Take care.
