Apple Music Reset Your Listen Now Suggestions

When I setup Apple Music I choose music that I liked then but not now but now I still get suggestions even though I mark this music as Suggest Less. I understand that I can delete my profile but this is a pretty nuclear option as I have so much music now after many years.

should I delete those albums I have tired of?

Hi stephenfromglenorie,

There are some steps that may provide more accurate recommendations for your new tastes:

"When you first tap Listen Now, you’re asked to tell Apple Music about your preferences. Apple Music uses these preferences when recommending music.

  1. Tap the genres you like (double-tap those you love, and touch and hold the genres you don’t care for).
  2. Tap Next, then do the same with the artists that appear.

To add a specific artist who isn’t listed, tap Add an Artist, then enter the artist’s name."

You can also:

"Tell Apple Music what you love

Do any of the following:

  • Touch and hold an album, playlist, or song, then tap Love or Suggest Less Like This.
  • On the Now Playing screen, tap the More button, then tap Love or Suggest Less Like This.

Telling Apple Music what you love and dislike improves future recommendations."

You can find these steps along with other information that may be helpful, here: See recommended music on iPhone – Apple Support

This may take some time after these steps before you really see the fine tuned new recommendations coming in.
