Reset suggestions and personalized recommendations in Apple Music

When I first started with iTunes, I had to select my favourites music genres and artists. From then, in the "Listen Now" tab, it appears "my station", which plays music of artists and genres I don't like anymore, and in the new releases, it recommends me music that again, I don't like anymore.

I want to reset the music they suggest me, and change it so it recommends me music that I like.

I've tried to turn off "Personalised recommendations" (in the account settings), tell iTunes to "Suggest less like this" or "Love" to some of the music (and see if it changed the suggestions), and even "Delete Profile". None of them works.

The last one, I've read that when you delete your profile, all your music library gets deleted and you have to create a new profile, allowing you to select again your musical preferences. Instead, when I delete it, it doesn't do anaything, and when I create a new profile, it is like if iTunes was remembering all the stuff I just "deleted", and I still have the same friends, followers and following. I don't know if I'm not deleting it correctly (I do it from "Edit Profile" section).

Hello _Mateo,

After the initial setup, the only way to change what is recommended for you is to do what you are doing: continue to mark music as Suggest Less and Love. In time, the algorithm will learn what you want to hear and offer only those suggestions.

As far as deleting your profile goes, it is explained in this article: See what friends are listening to in Apple Music on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device - Apple Support. It says:

"Delete your profile

      1. Go to your profile.
      2. At the top of your profile, tap Edit.
      3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Delete Profile.

When you delete your profile, your usernames and music activity clear from Apple Music, but your Apple Music subscription isn't affected. If you shared a playlist with a friend and they saved it to their device, the playlist disappears. Your library and playlists don't change."

We hope this helps. Let us know if we can assist with anything else at all. Take care.
