  • If you have an Apple device (iPhone, iPad, Mac), then you can manage the payment method there in Settings.
  • Without Apple device, the alternatives are the iTunes application on a Windows PC for managing the account, or else the website appleid.apple.com.
  • Maybe there are account managing options inside the Apple Music app on Android. But I haven’t seen that in action.

That’s it. Those are your options.

Not sure why that would be. You can skip any of its other functionality, and only use the Account function.

It seems to work just fine for me on computer and mobile? (Don’t use on TV browsers.) This seems solvable.

You can contact the Apple Support staff if you need assistance with your payment method. They may be able to guide you through getting it working.

Note that the Apple TV app on Fire TV devices currently doesn’t support in-app transactions on this platform. You will have to buy, rent, or subscribe on a different supported device. After the transaction, the content will be available on Fire TV through the account linking. This is not about the payment method, but about the Store.

Get the Apple TV app or Apple TV+ app on your smart TV or streaming device - Apple Support

“2. On Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, and Sony TV devices, you can't purchase content from the Apple TV app. You can buy, rent, or subscribe on another supported device and then watch in the Apple TV app on your Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, or Sony TV device.”
