bootcamp partition disappeared after trying to resize it

I was trying to resize my bootcamp partition using the CampTune by Paragon software. Regardless, it seems that the process failed and now I can't see the bootcamp partition anymore. The bootcamp partition is not visible from finder, neither the disk utility tool, but I can still see that it's occupying space on the hard drive when I go into the partition option of the disk utility tool. There is anything that I can do to save my bootcamp partition?

Thank you in advance for your support.

Contact Paragon support since their product caused the problem. Until your post here, I had never heard of this CampTune utility so I don't even know how reliable it is.

You cannot resize a Windows Bootcamp partition. The only way to do so is by using Bootcamp Assistant to remove Windows, then use Bootcamp Assistant to reinstall Windows with the partition size you desire.

Probably the only way to fix things now is by erasing the whole drive for macOS followed by reinstalling macOS & restoring from backup. Then using Bootcamp Assistant to reinstall Windows with the partition size you desire.

FYI, modifying partitions is always a risky endeavor. While Apple provides Bootcamp as an option for users, I never recommend anyone using multiple partitions on any drive since people almost always realize later on that at least one partition is too small.

While there may be ways using the command line to recover other than what I have mentioned here, the one contributor who has that knowledge has not posted on these forums in a long while....even then the "fix" would involve a lot of work using the command line to analyze the drive layout and using risky commands to modify the partition information. While I have a basic understanding of this process (I have fixed non-Apple drives this way)....I don't have the time or necessary experience with macOS partitions & utilities to assist you in that endeavor. The other regular contributors have not shown any ability or knowledge to assist in any other way than with the suggestions I've already provided.

Feel free to look at some of the older posts in this "Windows on Mac" forum on how some of these issues were resolved previously, but keep in mind many of those posts are probably highly customized to each individual system & configuration. You may be able to learn some generalizations from those posts, but it will take a lot of research to understand Apple partitions, command line tools, and how those partitions should be modified & configured. More than likely you will make mistakes during the learning process & those mistakes will likely make it more difficult or even impossible to fix it at all. Before making any attempts make sure you have a good backup of your data before doing anything else (hopefully you already have a good backup before the partition resize issue).
