FaceID / Siri Issues Worse after 16.6 Update

None of the answers really deal with the constant FaceID issue on my XSMax with IOS 16.6.

And annoyingly people posting Apple articles all about FaceID and how to set it up are extremely unhelpful and useless. I have been using FaceID for years and generally no issues until this last update and it's driving me crazy. Every day I get asked to enter a passcode to enable FaceID and it's getting beyond.

There are lots of other bugs since this so called 16.6 update with Homekit, Siri is extremely annoying and won't shut up providing totally irrelevant info after entering a simple on off command for smart kit, saying it can't do that but here's what I found on the web routine (mostly with HomePod Mini).

I just feel that there are more and more issues with IOS on each update and it's getting worse.

I will seriously have to consider whether it is time to leave the 🍏 Eco system if these issues don't get resolved in IOS 17. Resetting FaceID or iPhone every time is not a solution when you have multiple banking apps linked to FaceID as it requires resetting all the security and setting up all those again and don't mention Apple Pay and all the setting up that involves.

You need to mention which part of the article was not clear to you.

If you still need help, reset your Face ID, then set it up again. Go to Settings, tap Face ID & Passcode, then tap Reset Face ID. Next, tap Set up Face ID to set it up again.

If Face ID isn't working on your iPhone or iPad Pro

Parts and service history

With iPhone 12 models and later using iOS 15.2 and later, you can go to Settings > General > About to see the parts and service history of your iPhone and you can see if the camera has been replaced. If the repair was done using genuine Apple parts and processes, you will see "Genuine Apple Part" next to Camera.

You will see an Unknown Part message if the camera installation is incomplete or if the camera:
Was replaced with a nongenuine camera
Was already used or installed in another iPhone
Isn't functioning as expected

This message doesn't affect your ability to use your iPhone or access your camera.

Again, totally useless information - and why don't people read posts properly - if you had, you would see in my first line I stated I had a XS MAX, so why bother pointing me to irrelevant information about iPhone 12 and later?
