MacBook 14’ 2021 died

My 14’ 2021 MacBook Pro died a couple of days ago and I had no water even close to near it. I put it down and left it for a few days. I plugged it in and it wouldn’t even take a charge. Now I want it fixed it will cost around $200 is it cheaper anywhere else or should I just get it at Apple. Also is this a problem happening with other people?

Unfortunately this is not all that unusual. That's why there is a free one year warranty and very low cost extended warranty.

If no longer under warranty coverage, you will be responsible for repairs costs. $200 is actually pretty low for an Apple repair which will actually be a replacement. Battery most likely. Some repairs can cost multiple times that.

Have Apple or a certified Apple repair shop do the work. Non Apple batteries, if that's the issue, are not up to Apple's standard.
