Apple Watch Activity

I'm not personally experiencing this problem, my mother-in-law is and trying to help. She lost her Apple Watch (possibly stolen), but the Apple Fitness app is still recording activity even though she's not wearing it. I've thought she might have dropped it in her purse or something because how would it relay the info since it needs Bluetooth...? Any help would be appreciated

If it is just the move ring, that can be done by the iPhone. See:

Track daily activity in Fitness on iPhone - Apple Support


You might be able to track or ping (play a sound) the watch from the iPhone. See:

If your Apple Watch is lost or stolen - Apple Support

If you can't find it, you should at least put it in Lost Mode.
